I am a mom to four children. Two girls. Two boys. I live in Blaine and serve families all over the Twin Cities area Minnesota. I’m a Minnesota native but spent 6 years in Texas where I met my husband. My husband and I have been married since 2004 and I’m grateful how he who supports me in this work. I have a BS in Psychology with a Marriage and Family Emphasis, graduating in 2010.
My personal experiences with pregnancy and birth were both challenging and empowering. To hear those stories you
would hear me talk about personal transformation, fear, courage, grief, and immense joy. My experiences include moments of strength and weakness, empowerment and challenges, successful breastfeeding, and newborn care. My desire to be a doula is rooted in those stories and a desire to support families during their life-changing journeys. I have learned from each of the families I’ve worked with as a doula; it’s an honor to be in this work.
Some of my loves are beaches and rivers, travel, my community, books, laughing, and organization.
“It’s difficult to put into words how meaningful it was for us to have Laura with us throughout our first pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. Not only was Laura thoroughly knowledgeable in techniques and strategies used throughout pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum, but her warm and kind presence reassured us that we weren’t alone in this process.”
